This paper (http://t.co/VHLzS2HbOO) seems to suggest that Chris Walsh (http://t.co/JfvajzKoyH) is now at Stanford. Can anyone confirm? #move

Usually. the chemblogosphere catches major moves fairly fast, but have we missed this one? Perhaps this is a "courtesy appointment," though I can't find any mention on Stanford's site.
Anyone know anything?
Also strange that there are no acknowledgements.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an appointment also w/ Stanford's ChEM-H super-program (?): http://www.ludwigcancerresearch.org/bio/christopher-t-walsh-phd
ReplyDeleteIn the Stanford-only version of the StanfordWho personnel directory, Walsh is listed as a "Consulting Professor" in Chemistry. I would guess this is more in the realm of a courtesy gig.
ReplyDeleteA different move, which seems to be official now, Ritter to Max Planck Institute:

Chris officially retired from HMS last June (2013) and shut down all research activities. He took up the position at Stanford to work closely with Khosla and continue to publish reviews and perspective (because he is Chris). His daughter (an MD at Stanford) and his grandson are also there so it kind of serves a dual purpose. If I had to guess I would said that he played a big role in luring Bertozzi away from Berkeley, just guessing.
